Meeting point for people, cultures and an encounter place of religions. Each of these significantly influenced the legacy. The Orthodox Church even today one of the tallest, and the Late Baroque styled Cathedral were built in the XVIII century. The old XV century church and its remains have been used as a foundation for the new Franciscan. Certainly one of the most striking buildings in Subotica, and a building of enormous importance is the Synagogue.
Today, the object that is under the government protection is in the reconstruction phase, but still a most beautiful sacral building decorated at Art Nouveau style.
