Subotica is a city of festivals and events that celebrate the culture and joy of life in this part of Serbia.
Significant events that make this city cultural center of the region and one of the most important is the International European Film Festival held in second half of the July. Especially significant are traditional ethnic events that are related to culture and customs of the people who live in Subotica and among them Duzijanca and Etnofest are the most visited ones.
Subotica is also famous for its wine and wine celebrations, so events that celebrate good harvest and great sandy wine are often organised. You shouldn’t miss Palic Wine Festival at the second half of the May.
Not to forget, Palic is famous for renewing the Olympic Game Spirit and Fire in the late XIX and at the beginning of XX century. Today, the Palic Olympic Games is one of the best sport events and together with International Sailing Regatta at first half of the May, is not to be missed.
